Semantic AI is seeking highly motivated personnel with entrepreneurial drive to build its growing Government and Commercial revenue. The successful candidate will play a central role in our company's market expansion contributing to business development and management of its next generation business intelligence and analysis software platform.
The candidate selected for this role will work in a Sales Engineering capacity with Revenue Division leadership to develop and manage business opportunities for selling enterprise-class business intelligence software in multiple verticals.
The position is assigned to our Alexandria, VA office; however, the sales engineering support territory for this position could be the entirety of the United States and may include international locations. Extensive (25%+) travel, primarily focused in the Northeast Corridor is anticipated for this position. The successful candidate will be expected to be geographically flexible to efficiently cover requirements of the come-to-market opportunities.
Experience Requirements:
- Work with our business development team to support management-directed revenue and profit plan via achievement of sales goals based on software license and professional services revenue targets.
- Demonstrated ability to provide sales engineering services and technical solutions consulting working with our business development team and select partners.
- Expert-level technical prowess to create functional use case demonstration for prospective clients tailored for specific opportunities.
- Possess skills to utilize the Semantic AI software platform to build/modify data source connector, build application workflows and standard reports.
- Ability to conceptualize, understand, document and effectively communicate client’s business process and technical requirements.
- Provide well-written inputs to the development of quotations, proposals, contract and statements of work and RFI/RFQ/RFP responses.
- Strong commercial sector experience providing successful sales engineering solutions to the financial services, banking or capital markets.
- Polished interpersonal and communications skills (written & verbal) in customer-facing situations and team collaboration settings
- Demonstrated ability to read a room, pivot on the fly in business meeting settings and establish strong customer rapport.
- Proven success in supporting the sales cycle of enterprise level software to the financial services, banking or capital markets.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of technology-based sales engineering and solution deployment experience
- 2+ years of sales engineering experience for enterprise software solutions desired.
- Degree(s) required: Bachelor’s degree in any business-related or technology related field
- Degree(s) desired: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- High level of technical expertise, with solid critical thinking skills and analytical abilities
- High level of initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, focus on deadlines, and strong overall organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of graph-based business intelligence products, data models and analytics is a plus
