Junior Java Engineer / Technical Analyst
Position Description:
This opening presents an extremely exciting opportunity for an early career level developer to provide applied software engineering expertise in a direct support, client-focused position to deliver innovative solutions to customer knowledge development, visualization, management and communication requirements.
The employee will work closely with the customer’s analytical and IT personnel with a primary focus on providing the engineering support necessary to create customer-needed capabilities and promote maximum adoption of Semantica as a key component of their analytical process, especially as it relates to customer-driven data integration.
For work on and off site, the employee will be responsible for understanding the customer’s environment, needs and requirements to support their mission and goals. The employee will also perform other assignments as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong understanding of Java language fundamentals and core computer science concepts.
- Familiarity integrating disparate systems utilizing various technologies and approaches as necessary.
- Familiarity with Java Swing.
- Familiarity with data Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) concepts and procedures.
- Proficient in using standard Source Code Management (SCM) and build tools such as Subversion and Maven.
- Ability to develop new software capabilities based on direct customer feedback
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with HTML, SQL, and Velocity
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to interact with customers, partners, colleagues, management and others professionally in writing, in person and virtually, as necessary.
- Department of Defense, Federal Law Enforcement or Intelligence Community experience.
