Software Engineer (Junior-Level) Secret Clearance Required – Alexandria, VA

Responsibilities
- Maintain existing desktop software
- Design new software capabilities for desktop and enterprise level software
- Attention to detail and a desire to build and test quality code in an agile team environment
- Integrate with various data sources such as web services and databases
- Document software and integrated solutions
- Ability to work with other developers, SQ, and SMEs to execute deliveries on time and within coding standards
- Other duties may be required from manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or similar study or equivalent experience
- At least Two (2) years of experience in the Java environment
- Experience with Java/J2EE development
- Active Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agile development
- Familiarity with Spring framework, JPA, Swing
- ETL design
- Database integration
- Indexing
- Elasticsearch
- SOLR / Lucene
- REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML web services
- Experience with scripting, including JavaScript and Regular Expressions
- Problem solving drive for diagnosing issues and customizing solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
