Where You Come In
This opening presents an extremely exciting opportunity for an early career level developer to provide applied software engineering expertise to create innovative solutions in the delivery of knowledge development, visualization, management and communication requirements. You will base your activities out of our Washington DC-area Headquarters in Alexandria, VA, but will also have opportunities to work at various customer sites as needed in the capacity described below.
Our customers do a wide variety of really cool things with our software, from Intelligence Community projects to federal law enforcement to endangered species protection. For work on and off site, you will develop understanding our customer’s environment, needs and requirements to support their mission and goals, while also performing other assignments as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or projected graduation with such a degree within 12 months)
- Strong understanding of Java language fundamentals and core computer science concepts
- Familiarity integrating disparate data sources utilizing various technologies and approaches as necessary
- Familiarity with data Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) concepts and procedures
- Proficient in using standard Source Code Management (SCM) and build tools, such as Subversion and Maven
- Ability to develop new software capabilities based on direct customer feedback
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with HTML, SQL, Velocity, JSON and XML
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to interact with customers, partners, colleagues, management and others professionally in writing, in person and virtually, as necessary.
- Department of Defense, Federal Law Enforcement or Intelligence Community experience.
