Director of Business Development - Account Executive

Semantic AI is seeking a highly motivated person with an entrepreneurial drive to build its growing Government and Commercial Revenue. The successful candidate will play a central role in the company's market expansion through business development and management of its next-generation business intelligence and analysis software platform.
The candidate selected for this role will work with Revenue Division leadership to develop and manage business opportunities for selling desktop, department-level, and enterprise-class business intelligence software in multiple verticals and will be responsible for working sales and account management to develop and execute a mutually developed, personal sales plan.
Extensive (up to 50%) travel, specifically throughout the assigned region, is anticipated for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Must be versatile in organizing and creating presentations, writing proposals, and submitting contracts according to client guidelines.
- Support management-directed revenue and profit plan via achievement of sales goals based on software license and professional services revenue targets
- Strong experience and network in US Special Operations, Intelligence Community, Department of Defense financial, cyber, and/or law enforcement.
- Develop and expand business opportunities in assigned territories/markets/verticals
- Coordinate and support product demonstrations and sales strategy protocols
- Account management, relationship development, deal negotiations, and coordination of proposal, contract, and statement of work development.
- Support management-directed revenue and profit plan via achievement of sales goals based on software license and professional services revenue targets
- Coordinate and conduct localized networking campaigns (including a strong focus on social media)
- Support and participate in local marketing events
- May be additional responsibilities as directed by your manager
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with technology-based account management, business development, and or sales experience
- Experience selling enterprise software
- Bachelors in any business or communication-related field
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of graph-based business intelligence products, data models, and analytics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to work in a start-up environment.
- Experience selling Palantir, IBM, I2 (Analyst Notebook), or other analytical software.
- Degree(s) desired: Master's Degree in any business or communication-related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- High level of technical expertise, with solid critical thinking skills and analytical abilities
- High level of initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, focus on deadlines, and strong overall organizational skills
- Additional foreign language skills. Multi-lingual.
